Join us to “build” your core of strength and increase your “mobility” in life.
Having been with Moving Arts since its inception more than 8 years ago, it has very much become a part of my life. It's incredibly rewarding to see how much stronger, more flexible and tuned my body has become. Charmaine is passionate about Pilates and it shows in the enthusiasm and energy she brings to every class. I couldn't recommend her highly enough.
I have never been able to sustain going to the gym but have missed very few Pilates classes (and none by choice) since I started with Moving Arts Pilates four years ago. It really works without seeming to be hard work and for me it has probably been a life saver, quite literally. Pilates has helped me recover from three fractured vertebra and get way stronger than I was before the fractures. Keeping active has been vital to improving my bone density and I am fitter now than I was 10 years ago. The classes are really well designed and balanced and, in addition to their high levels of expertise and dedication, I particularly like the friendly, easy and caring approach maintained by Charmaine Lehman and all the instructors I have had. I cannot recommend Moving Arts Pilates strongly enough and wish I had found this studio years ago. Thanks to all at Moving Arts Pilates.
I have been doing Pilates for quite some while. Charmaine was my 2nd teacher. Since starting with Charmaine I have learnt what each muscle is meant to be doing for each movement! This is after you have engaged your core! ( which is another journey!) Charmaine always prepares her classes beforehand, according to what each client needs and you are constantly challenged in each class/personal. I have not tired or got bored in all the years that I have been taught by her. Another benefit of attending her classes is the fact that she constantly refreshes her methods and always looks for ways of using the basics of Pilates to apply to other disciplines, which gives one the privilege of experiencing all of these by the same teacher. We love you Charmaine please don't burn out!
I started Pilates late in 2016 having been ill with depression and anxiety and incapable of any physical exercise for months. I went to have a one on one session with Charmaine and was incredibly nervous. Charmaine immediately established such a welcoming and reassuring space. I have now been attending weekly classes with various teachers at various intensities for over six months and if I miss a session I can feel the itch to be back. It was first recommended to address my hyper-mobility and pain in my knees. My knees are better and I can turn to my Pilates breathing whenever my anxiety flares up, whether in a doctor's appointment or in the back of a car. Pilates has been an important building block in my recovery, but the Moving Arts studio specifically created a space where I felt safe and held to dig into a new and integrating practice.

I must tell you that I am really happy to have discovered the beauty of Pilates at your studio. I started doing Pilates for the 1st time in my life in August last year - at Moving Arts - and I can't imagine my life without that kind of mental and physical activity going forward at all. It is a lifestyle, like a long and deep breath.
