Email out 21st June 2020

21 June, 2020 By Moving Arts

Hi all,

Points:

  • Hi, miss everyone.. hope you are all holding up okay
  • Thank you!
  • New pages on the website with same password. Online Schedule / Recordings page / Important notes page

I hope this finds everyone well under the circumstances.

I am so aware that everyone is being bombarded from all sides with mail, messages etc., so trying to keep it to the minimum.  However, I also don’t want you to let go of your movement .. whatever form you choose. Keep moving & breathing.  So, please, at any time if you have feedback to make this process better.. I’m all ears.

The biggest thank you to each and everyone one of you for enabling Moving Arts to keep going.  Strange world we find ourselves, and I am very aware of the challenges everyone is facing.  The many hats many of you are needing to wear.  So thank you, thank you.   There is no clarity on when health studio’s, gym’s etc., will open.. but I am also aware that even if we do, or are able to open.. how everyone feels about it.   So we will keep plugging along on Zoom for as long as we need to.  So thank you.  I so hope that you are managing to make it work for you.. whether it’s by attending a ‘live’ class or whether you are doing recordings in your own time.  Remember sometimes even a portion of a class will do you the world of good.

I think one of the other challenges we face is that we are all working on different devices.  Phones, tablets, computers etc.  So I will keep the What’s app group running, but will also load all detail online onto the website too.  So if What’s App is getting to confusing to find the info.. go to the website and sign into the Client Private area and check out the online schedule for classes, and the Recordings page for links to recordings with some info on the class. There is another page with regular NB Notices!  Like Public Holiday etc. etc.

That’s ended up being a longer read than I wanted… but  hope it helps.

Take care, be safe…

Best regards

Indication of levels for classes

21 June, 2020 By Moving Arts

MONDAY TUESDAY WEDNESDAY THURSDAY FRIDAY SATURDAY
08H30 Int 09h00 Beg/Int 08h00 Beg/Int 08h00 Int 09h10 Beg/Int 08h30 Beg/Int
18h00 Int 18h00 Int 13h00 Beg/Int 16h50 Beg/Int
18h00 Int/Adv

I think it’s important to note that the distinction between classes is not so much that one is a “Beginner” (have just begun Pilates) or an “Advanced” client, but the nature of the work dictates the class.  So whilst it might be labelled a “Beginner” class, it is more about doing more ‘focused’ work in the class, for example connections, speed etc.  Often as an Int/Adv Pilates practitioner, the benefit of going to do a “Beginners” class is immense, as it enables one to revisit and focus differently in different classes.

So it pays to do a one *  class, and then challenge yourself in a different way with a ‘more’ star class – but always being very aware of one’s experience and capabilities, as well as one’s own body issues.  Far better to challenge oneself with a higher star class in the safer studio environment than online!

An idea of the levels of the above classes:                                                     Degree of difficulty 1 – 5 stars

Monday 08h30            More Intermediate                                                                             ****

Monday 18h00            More Intermediate                                                                             ****

Tuesday 09h00            More towards Beginners than Intermediate                                     **

Tuesday 18h00            More towards Intermediate than Beginners                                     ***

Wednesday 08h00      More towards Beginners than Intermediate                                     *

Wednesday 13h00      Very much shared between Beginners & Int                                     **

Thursday 08h00          More Intermediate than Beginners                                                   ***

Thursday 16h50          Very much shared between Beginners & Int                                     **

Thursday 18h00          Intermediate class into Adv work                                                       *****

Friday 09h10               More towards Intermediate than Beginners                                     ***

Saturday 08h30           Very much shared between Beginners & Int                                     **
